Geovanna Ramos is a bilingual Spanish and English translator and interpreter with nearly 25 years of experience in interpretation and translation, 20 of which have been in the legal field.
Geovanna has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she also minored in Spanish, her native tongue. She holds Community, Legal & Medical Interpreter certificates from Boston University. BU’s intensive 18-month program is a well-established and highly-respected program in interpretation. Geovanna has mastered the technical vocabulary necessary to work in community, legal and medical settings, and is adept at both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation.
Geovanna’s impressive educational background is matched by her professional experience as a legal assistant. She has worked with attorneys, organizations and individuals throughout the community of Lowell. Clients rely on her to understand and decipher both written and verbal information in a language foreign to them. In addition, Geovanna has 15 years of experience as a licensed real estate broker in the state of Massachusetts and is a notary public.
Geovanna has equal passions for language and helping those in need. She considers herself a lifelong learner and is continually practicing and researching language, as well as studying new languages.
